Logging a session:

During the last 5-15 minutes of the session, while you are still at the location of the session, you should log your notes. Start with the EIMS.

Logging on the NJ EIMS:

  1. First log into the EIMS through https://njeis.pcgus.com/njei

Sign in with your username and password. This information should have been received in an email from Mercer Institute.

  1. Select "children".

  1. Select the child you are working with.

  2. Select “Early Intervention”.

  1. Select “Service Logging” from the dropdown menu.

  1. Select the discipline you are providing. Click the green "Log" button.

  • Pay attention to the begin and end date of the service pages to make sure they are active and the most current authorization.

  • If you need to select either a previous IFSP, a new IFSP, or an extension check if there is a dropdown next to select IFSP. Then select the IFSP you would like to log under. This sometimes comes up after a meeting, when new service pages are put in, but the previous IFSP is still active.

  1. Begin writing your note.

Group size for practitioners: "Direct child service- individual."

Group size for Translators ONLY: "Consultation/facilitation with others."

Location: 2 options- Either home or daycare. Daycare is called "EC Program - inclusive community."

Please note: Do not click "Residential" or "EC Program Children with Disability"

  1. Screenshot your note from "Who was present" until "Today’s Progress/Highlights/Overall Comments". This will be the note you upload to the TA website that the parents have access to.

  2. Click save.

  3. Then check the box that says "I have reviewed all the information on this service log and affirm it is correct". Then click either of the confirm boxes on the right.

You have now successfully logged a session on the EIMS!
